We follow a clearly defined project cycle:
CAPTURING REQUIREMENTS
We start the process with a workshop. Senior staff and stakeholders join us in a day of fun, games and exploration. As well as discussing their likes and dislikes, everyone will be:
- Given a disposable camera
- Given a scrap book
- Taken on a "web safari"
BRIEFING
On the basis of the information gathered, markanddan will produce an agreed project specification including:
- Project timeline, with milestones
- Design brief
- Functional brief
- Technical brief, where appropriate
DESIGN
Once the briefs have been agreed, we will produce storyboards showing how the creative execution flows. We will also produce one or more sample designs in the style of the finished product. For more complex projects we may also produce:
- branding guidelines
- information architecture
- detailed technical specification
BUILD
When you have picked the design you are happiest with, and specified any amendments required, we go ahead and build the elements of the project, in accordance with the functional and technical briefs. As this stage sometimes takes a while, we will show regular updates either via a protected internet site or in person. If necessary, further changes can be made provided these stay within the agreed boundaries set in the functional brief.
IMPLEMENT
Once we've finished the build, we will make any necessary changes based upon your feedback.
Before making the work accessible to the public, we may also produce:
- Instructions/training for you and your staff
- Reporting tools, to assess the success of a promotion/website
- Marketing material, to accompany the launch
MAINTAIN/REFINE
For ongoing projects, we will carry out reviews on at least an annual basis.
Small changes may be made on an ongoing basis.
We continually assess project success (e.g. website usage / advertising reach) and customer satisfaction.
